Timber Furniture Care Guide

Timber furniture is one of the most desired and beautiful home decors, it is warm, textured and ageless. Each piece of timber has its own colour, tone, figure and grain arrangement because it is a natural product, it expands and shrinks depending on the humidity and temperature. This means that exposure to certain elements such as moisture, sun and wind can modify the  moisture content and stability of the product.

Timber Care Guide

It is highly recommended not to place near open fireplaces or directly under air conditioners.

Do not leave wet spills on timber furniture (if spills occur wipe down with a dry cloth).

Do not place hot or very cold items directly on timber surfaces.

Liquids containing nail polish, alcohol etc cannot be removed from timber products.

Rough surfaces such as unglazed ceramics can leave scratch marks.

It is recommended not to use strong cleaning solutions and solvents on timber furniture, the use of chemicals may affect and damage the finish.

It is strongly recommended not to drag furniture, be sure to lift and place down with care.

To clean it is recommended to use a soft dry microfibre cloth or a slightly dampened cloth can also be used.

When transporting timber pieces be sure to secure, protect and wrap to avoid dents, scratches and general damage.
